I am a big planner, so before I had officially set foot on DePauw’s campus as an actual student, I knew I wanted to try D3TV’s Marketing Team. Oftentimes, I get too ahead of myself, come up with an unrealistic idea, and then am unhappy with the results. Thankfully, that has not been the case this time around.
As a member of the Marketing Team so far, I have helped create flyers for D3TV’s awesome shows and written a few blog posts. It has been great, and there are still so many more different tasks to take on like reviewing social media content, etc. The different directors of the Marketing Team provide you with a set of basic guidelines, so you can get as creative as you want with some of the different projects!
The way the Marketing Team works is everyone is assigned a weekly project to have complete before our meeting on Friday. This may sound like somewhat of a big time commitment, but it has never been stressful. The directors are also incredibly nice and helpful; they don’t send you into a project blindfolded.
I have loved being part of the D3TV Marketing Team so far. The projects are fun and it has been nice getting to know people from all the classes. Although I started at the beginning of the year, anyone can get involved whenever.
Check out the team here!
Meetings are always Friday at 11:45 in the PCCM lobby.
